Privacy Policy for Acies

Last updated: 21 August 2026

Acies is made by Shayaan Qazi. This policy covers the Acies app on iOS and Android.

Acies does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party services. The app makes no network requests. Nothing you do in it leaves your device, and nothing about you is shared with anyone.

What Acies stores, and where

Acies keeps a small amount of information on your device, using the standard app storage your operating system provides. Acies never transmits it anywhere. It is:

The label on a watch is free text that you write. It is stored on your device like everything else here and is never sent anywhere. As with any note, do not type anything into it that you would not want someone with your unlocked phone to read.

Acies never asks you for a permission. It has no access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or advertising identifier, and never requests one. On Android it is built without the internet permission, so it cannot reach the network.

Device backups

If you have iCloud Backup switched on (iOS) or Android's Backup service switched on (Android), your operating system may include Acies' stored data in your own device backup, along with the rest of your apps. That backup belongs to your Apple or Google account and is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policy, not this one. Shayaan Qazi has no access to it and cannot read it.

You can turn this off in your device settings if you would rather your Acies data was not backed up.

Deleting your data

Inside the app, Settings then RESET PROGRESS clears your progress and your watch history. That covers the totals, every recorded watch and its label, the armour you had unlocked, the setup answer, and any paused watch. Your app settings are kept: sound, haptics, keep-screen-awake and the volumes stay as you set them.

Uninstalling Acies removes all of it, settings included, from your device.

Nothing is ever sent off your device, so there is no server copy to request, correct or delete, and no account to close.

How long it is kept

The information listed above stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. There is no expiry schedule. It is erased when you clear it or uninstall the app.

There is no server-side retention of any kind. Nothing is transmitted, so there is nothing held anywhere else to retain or delete.

Consent

Acies does not ask for consent to collect or share data, because it does not collect or share any. There is therefore no consent to withdraw. If you no longer want the app to hold your record, clear it or uninstall the app, as described above.

Children

Acies is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights over personal data a company holds about you, including the right to see it, correct it, delete it, or object to its sale. Acies holds no personal data about you and sells nothing. The data described above stays on your own device.

If you believe otherwise, write to the address below. You also have the right to complain to your data protection supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If Acies changes what it stores, or starts sending anything off your device, this policy will be updated before that version ships and the date at the top will change.
